Kitty Cup

This Christmas I decided to make everyone personalized cups
so I went to the locate Dollar Store and bought 12 cups for 12 dollars!

Sure it might be a cheap cup but that's not the point,
the point of this is to create an amazing gift for your family and friends.

Artsy Fartsy Needs: Cups, Sharpie oil based paint pen and an oven.

So this one is for my friend who likes cat and puns!

You start by doing the pink triangle nose and then outlining everything in black.
My best tip is to always practice before you do the final product.

After the kitty face is made plan out how your going to write on the cup and practice it like so.Incase y'all didn't know gatto is cat in Spanish.

Once you are done wait for it to dry overnight and then with all the rest, place it in the oven.
After you place it in the oven THEN that is when you start the oven.
(If you look online many people have done different temperatures but I did 400°)
When it starts to be at 400° that's when I start the timer for 30 minutes.
When the 30 minutes are done I kept all the cups in the over for a few hours just to be safe.
You don't want to open the oven immediately because the air could crack the cup.

A Mom Present

This is a present I did for my mom for Christmas!

Artsy Fartsy Needs: Canvas, Paint- Red, Pink, White, &Yellow, Mod Podge, Paint Brush, Pen, a Computer and a Printer for your Pictures.

Took me a little to get the hang of this heart but paint one side and then the other with one color each.
After you're done painting the whole canvas wait for it to dry.
While waiting for it to dry go on your computer
to change the tint of the picture so that it's reddish like the canvass.

After that I tried to figure out where to place my pictures.

When I finally picked out where to put them
I used mod podge to kind of laminate/glue them down.

I tried to make sure it wasn't too goopy so I tried to take some of the mod podge off with the brush.
(The brush that you use will get really hard so make sure you don't care about it)

After everything is dry it's time to write down the quote!
I found a really touching quote that fit so perfectly for my mom and I!
Picking out a really good quote might take a long time but don't get frustrated it's one of the best parts.

Then you have the perfect present to give to your mom!

21 cake

The perfect 21st birthday cake, or the perfect cake for an alcoholic.

Artsy Fartys Needs: cake mix (2), frosting, about 24 little alcohol bottles, shot glasses, a little drinking spinner, ribbon, a plate, and a round cake pan

I did this one a while ago so I'm sorry I don't have step by step picture but I hope I can do a good job of walking you through.

For this cake I wanted to use a bunch of different alcohol so my newly 21 friend could try all different kinds.

How to start off doing this cake:
1. Go to party city to get different shot glasses, 21 things such as the little necklace spinner, and a plate
2. Get the little bottles of alcohol from Total Wine, they have so many to choose from
3. Get cake mix and frosting, I got 2 mixes because I thought a thick cake would look better than a thin one next to all the bottles
4. Get ribbon to secure the bottles down to the cake
5. Then bake the cakes

Once the two cakes have cooled down put the cake on the plate.
"Glue" the two cakes down with frosting and then frost the rest of cake.
Stick all the bottles close to each other if you have a lot of bottles or not so close if you don't have a lot.
After that to secure the bottles down take a piece of ribbon and tie a bow around it.
Then you can decorate the top of the cake with the shot glasses and the little game you got from Party City.

Valentines Day

These are easy things to make for your significant other for Valentines Day

Artsy Fartsy Needs: paper, mentor, kisses (and hugs), and pirates booty

Being cheese is the best part of a relationship so don't hold back on Valentines Day!

For this gift I cut out 3 heart shapes out of paper and taped them to the items.
For the pirates booty I wrote "I treasure your booty"
Taped Mentos to my heart that said "we're mento be"
And used the hug and kiss for my heart that said "I could 'hug' & 'kiss' you all day long"

If you can think of more cheesy things to say I suggest doing it because this was really easy and fun to make.

Going away present

Pictures are worth a thousand words so what better way to tell someone you love them!

Artsy Fartsy Needs: All the pictures you want, letter you want, and mod podge

When my friend was moving I wanted to make her something that she could remember me by so I made her that T

Figure out how big you want the pictures to be before you glue them down
By laying them down like so

After you decide that's where you want them to be put mod podge on one side to glue them down.
Then mod podge on the other to laminate it down.

After that let it dry and then you have the prefect going away present!

Fall Nails

These were Fall nails that I did for October and they were really easy

Artsy Fartsy Needs: yellow and red nail polish or paint along with a paint brush

(sorry I don't like to clean off my nails because then I accidentally chip them)

So for this I used red nail polish but then I used two different kinds of yellow paint.

I put 3 spots of paint down on top of my nail polish lid
(because I don't have a paper plate or I would have used that)
Then I took my small paint brush and just directly put it on my nail.
Constantly did that with one color then moved on to the next and so forth.
After that I put sparkles on it because regular paint looks matte and I don't like that

Bronco Nails

This was last year for the Bronco game I went to and since I'm going again I thought I'd share

Artsy Fartsy Nails

For these nails I used an actual paint brush
keep in mind that the brush will get a little hard afterwards.
The for the football I used brown paint and a clear coat over it

I stuck with all the Broncos colors
and painted their old D on my nail since I can't paint a Bronco

This type of nails would be good for any football team, just change the colors!
